Rock Mendes

2007
Télésphore Charles, a former schoolteacher, is attacked by his former pupils after attending church. He feels abandoned by God. Satan, the Angel of Darkness, appears to him in a dream and eventually materialises. He suggests that he avenge his honour without mercy, wipe out the youth to replace them with a new order, by recruiting the elderly to his cause, as they too have been victims of violence. Their mission: to destroy the café ‘La Paix des Races’, a sordid meeting place frequented by young people. Once back home, he sees Satan in the form of Mendès’s goat in the mirror, who reveals to him that his father was not the sacristan Joseph Charles, but one of his henchmen, Father Beautière.
