Anne Deligne

Filmmaker and producer, co-founder of Cobra Films
Anne Deligne was a Belgian producer, director, and editor, a major figure in independent documentary cinema in Belgium.
A graduate of the IAD (Institut des Arts de Diffusion), she founded Cobra Films in 1987 with Daniel De Valck. Together, they championed a vision of cinema that was "fragile by nature," focused on social engagement, marginalized cultures, and the expression of powerful personal worlds. Her work as a producer enabled the emergence of unique works by filmmakers such as Pierre-Yves Vandeweerd, Yaël André, and Annik Leroy.
As a director, often collaborating with Daniel De Valck, she developed a documentary style that favored "the cinema of the invisible," rejecting sensationalism to explore the poetry of everyday life and little-known political realities, particularly in Africa and Eastern Europe.
