Delphine Noels

Belgian filmaker
Delphine Noels is a Belgian screenwriter and director. Her films are distinguished by a unique atmosphere, often tinged with unsettling strangeness, where she explores the flaws in the human psyche and the tensions within the family unit.
Trained at INSAS in Brussels, she first gained attention with her short films, including 100% Positive (2000), which screened at numerous festivals. She has developed a precise visual style, where the setting often becomes a character in its own right, reflecting the inner state of her protagonists. Her first feature film, Post Partum (2013), starring Mélanie Doutey and Jalil Lespert, established her as a leading voice in psychological genre cinema in Belgium.
Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, notably the Grand Prize at the Cabourg Film Festival for her short film Neither Yes Nor Name.
She lives and works in Brussels, where she continues to develop feature film and television series projects, ranging from intimate drama to dramatic tension.
