Jan Vromman

Belgian filmmaker
Born on April 1, 1958, in West Flanders, Jan Vromman is a Belgian filmmaker, writer, and teacher. After hesitating between studying history and film, he chose directing while maintaining a predilection for subjects requiring in-depth research and historical context.
He holds a doctorate in arts and shares his expertise as a documentary film professor at the RITCS School of Arts in Brussels. His work, which straddles the line between documentary and essay, explores societal shifts, the world of work, and our relationship with the natural world.
Beyond cinema, he has also been involved in theater, television drama (Wittekerke), and the creation of contemporary art exhibitions.
