Belgian Director

Leni Huyghe is a Belgian director and screenwriter based in Brussels. Her academic background is marked by a dual degree: she holds a degree in Film from the LUCA School of Arts (Sint-Lukas Brussels) and a degree in Communication Sciences from Ghent University (UGent).

Her films are distinguished by an intimate approach, favoring psychological portraiture and organic mise-en-scène. She first gained attention with short films such as *Seule avec lui* (2012) and *Mélanie* (2014), before joining the prestigious Berlinale Talents program. She regularly collaborates with the production company Mirage Films.

Alongside her projects, she shares her expertise as a lecturer at the LUCA School of Arts, mentoring new generations of filmmakers. She is considered one of the most promising voices in contemporary Belgian cinema, combining rigorous technical mastery with profound thematic sensitivity.
