Lut Vandekeybus

Belgian filmmaker

Lut Vandekeybus is a film director, cinematographer, and producer. Within her diverse filmography, her observational documentaries stand out, exploring Moroccan family life in Bletzi Bletzi (1997), the strict Mennonite community in Mexico in Not All That ‘The World’ Does, Is Good for a Mennonite (1998), and an intercultural marriage in Qatar in the award-winning film Linda & Ali, Two Worlds within Four Walls (2005). After a period dedicated to directing television documentaries on current events and social issues in the Middle East, she returned to creative documentary filmmaking with Wim (2016) and a long-term project on Qatari society.
