Belgian Filmmaking and Journalism Duo

Manu Riche (documentary and fiction director) and Philippe Van Meerbeeck (journalist, director, and a long-standing figure at VRT) have joined forces on several occasions to explore the darker corners of Belgian and international society. Their collaboration is distinguished by a rigorous investigative approach combined with a strong cinematic aesthetic. They excel at dissecting the mechanisms of power, complex news stories, and urban transformations. While Philippe Van Meerbeeck spent most of his career at VRT (notably as project manager for Panorama), Manu Riche pursued a career as a fiction filmmaker and theater director.
