Marc-Antoine Roudil

French filmmaker

Marc-Antoine Roudil was born in 1958. He began his career as a photographer, then became the assistant of renowned photographer and filmmaker William Klein. Before dedicating himself to directing, he worked as a production manager and assistant director on some thirty television films and feature films.

From 1993 onwards, he embarked on a major artistic collaboration with Sophie Bruneau. Their films, characterized by their understated aesthetic, focus on capturing "the beauty of the everyday" and denouncing contemporary social suffering, particularly in the workplace.

He also works on her films as director of photography and sound engineer, thus controlling the entire visual and sound production process.
