Monique Quintart

Belgian filmmaker
Monique Quintart is a Belgian director and screenwriter. Her career is marked by a strong loyalty to the Brussels-based production company Cobra Films (Daniel De Valck and Anne Deligne), with which she has developed the majority of her filmography.
Her cinema is distinguished by a sensitive, often first-person approach, where she uses travel and art as tools to explore identity and roots. She has notably devoted a significant portion of her work to Greek culture and the intellectual figures who have influenced it.
Her films are documentary essays that blend the personal with the universal.
She regularly participates in documentary film festival juries and workshops on auteur cinema in Belgium.
