Belgian-Swiss filmmaker

Olga Baillif was born in 1969 in Geneva, Switzerland. She holds dual Swiss and Belgian citizenship. After studying filmmaking at INSAS in Brussels, from which she graduated in 1993, she lived and worked in Belgium for twenty years before returning to Geneva.

Her cinema is distinguished by a sensitive and often personal approach, using first-person narrative to explore family roots and migratory journeys. Her filmography ranges from short fiction films to feature-length documentaries.

She also teaches film and works as an assistant director and production manager on various European projects.
