Yaël André

Belgian filmmaker
Yaël André is a Belgian director, screenwriter, and editor born in 1967 in Brussels. After studying philosophy and filmmaking at INSAS, she developed a unique cinematic style that embraces the absurd, melancholic humor, and the creative manipulation of archival material.
Her films, often described as "brilliant bricolage," transform everyday elements and personal memories into universal narratives about solitude, chance, and the search for meaning. She is a key figure in the Cobra Films catalog, the company with which she has produced her most significant works.
She lives and works in Brussels, where she continues to collect images and stories for her future "cinema-collage" projects.
