Synopsis
Awara soup is a kind of stew which contains a little oil from the Awara - the fruit of a common palm tree in Guyana - that the creoles cook on Easter Monday. The preparing of this dish was a pretext for encounters with the inhabitants in Mana, a small town of 1.500 inhabitants where 12 languages are currently spoken.
