In 1956, a few weeks after the Soviets crushed the popular uprising, Olga Baillif's mother left Hungary with her parents for Switzerland. She didn't teach her children her language and rarely spoke of her life before exile. This past has been silenced. The filmmaker embarks on a dual journey, exploring family stories and contemporary Hungary. She gathers the small details that catch her eye and resonate with this memory. What happens when you leave your place of origin? What survives this rupture, what is transformed?
