Annick Leroy is a Belgian filmmaker and artist whose work lies at the intersection of documentary film, essay film, and installation.
Trained at INSAS, she has been developing a personal body of work since the 1990s that explores historical memory, ideologies, and the traces left by political violence in Europe. Her films, such as *Vers la mer* (1999), *Dormir, dormir dans les pierres* (2013), and *TREMOR — Es ist immer Krieg* (2017), explore the connections between landscapes, archives, testimonies, and sounds, in a sensory and reflective cinematic style.
Her work is regularly presented at international festivals, film archives, and contemporary art spaces.
