Belgian filmmaker

Jorge León is a Belgian writer-director and stage director born in Charleroi in 1967. A graduate of INSAS in Brussels, he first distinguished himself as a photographer and cinematographer before dedicating himself to directing. His career is marked by documentary films and film essays. Jorge León continues to explore the dialogue between cinema and theater within national institutions: 

"Ce qui donne corps" (2024/2025): A new work presented at the Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles in December 2024. 

"Incandescences": A film project exploring the fantasy of immortality and our aspirations to transcend human limitations. 

He lives and works in Brussels, where he continues his exploration of a metaphorical language at the crossroads of the arts.
