French Director

Xavier Lukomski is a Belgian director, photographer, and teacher. A graduate of INSAS in directing, he has developed an artistic practice that navigates between creative documentary filmmaking, film essays, and video installations.

His films are characterized by an economy of means and a precision of framing, seeking to reveal the political or poetic dimension of seemingly ordinary places. He is particularly interested in how institutions (schools, courts, parliaments) shape the body and speech.

He lives and works in Brussels, where he continues to explore photography as an extension of his cinematic research on the urban landscape.
